Earl Carl Institute- Immigration Citizenship Intake Form
The ECI Immigration Community Clinic focuses on the expansion of legal assistance to immigrants applying for U.S. Citizenship and navigating through the U.S. Naturalization Process. The Clinic is open year round and will provide legal representation to eligible individuals in reviewing his or her N-400 Application, I-912 Fee Waiver Application, and as an authorized attorney to monitoring the application process to assist with any issue that may arise. “Naturalization “is the process by which U.S. Citizenship is granted to a Lawful Permanent Resident after meeting the eligibility requirements established by U.S. Congress pursuant to the Immigration and Nationality Act. You can download the document under the Form Details section on that page and submit it to the program for review at the time you submit this application for assistance or after your intake form has been approved for further assistance.
Generally, to naturalize, you must be 18 years old, demonstrate good moral character, and not have violated certain laws of the U.S., such as criminal laws, immigration laws, and other civil laws of the U.S. You also must have a basic understanding of U.S. history and civics; be able to read, write, and speak basic English; and have maintained a physical presence in the U.S. with lawful permanent residency for the statutory time period (three or five years).
